This black-and-white film tries to depict, with great modesty and respect, a day in the life of a family living in a remote village in Ethiopia. In this rural and particularly patriarchal society, Assayuh raises her four children alone. The harvest period is an opportunity to discover their daily activities, set to a rhythm of ancestral gestures. "A Single Day" offers us an intimate and authentic vision of this community.
